Today was Backwards Day. When we got up, we did our daily routine in reverse. Since we usually take baths and then brush teeth right before bed, we did those things as soon as we got up.
Then we had dinner and did the things we’d normally do in the afternoon (like the girls’ tv time and rest time).
I scrubbed the kitchen floor, and since I was going to be washing it anyway, told the girls they could draw with markers on the parts that I hadn’t washed yet. They thought it was awesome. 
They draw ALL THE TIME, so I thought it would be especially fun for them. I tried to lay down the law about this being a one-time thing, so hopefully they don’t decide that drawing on the floor is ok all the time.
After lunch, we did the things we often do in the morning. I took a shower, and we had breakfast.
Then we went to a birthday party, which didn’t really fit the theme at all, but it was still fun.
We might have to institute Backwards Day once a month or something, because it was a big hit.
