Family time

Yesterday we went to Tom’s parents house for dinner to get some family time in before Joanna leaves again. We trekked over to Dipper Dan for some ice cream afterward and then watche Shooter. It started off okay, but it gets quickly overtaken by the political message that they are trying to send. It just turns into a government bashfest. Plus there’s a ton of shooting and killing just for the pure pleasure of it, it seems. It was ok, but it really made me wonder about the movies people watch these days. No wonder kids kill people in schools and whatnot; our media is constantly telling us that killing is entertainment. I don’t really feel comfortable letting my daughter watch things like this, even if she is only 4 months old. (She slept through the first half and then woke up hungry, so after I fed her she was hanging around while we finished watching the movie.) There was just something about it that made me think.

  1. I agree movies are getting more and more disturbing for me. And definitely more violent. I’m so afraid that by the time we’re parents that we’ll have to ban pretty much all movies. *sigh*

I mean there are some good ones out there but not very many that make me want to actually go.

I love that picture of you and J :) You’re so pretty Bee :D

  2. Yeah, we ordered that one pay per view when we were on vacation in April…I’m glad the kids were asleep!! It was too much for me.

I love J’s face; she is just too darn cute.
